This past February, we welcomed prime minister of the Bahamas, The Honorable Brave Davis, as we opened the doors to our facility with a grand tour of Tropic Seafood. The Prime Minister learned first-hand about our fish cultures and the shipping of live spiny lobsters. His current concerns around sustainability of aquaculture and job prospects for the people of the Bahamas, opened a dialogue amongst our teams. His walk about the facility and insight to our current projects opened his eyes to the potential future of the commercialization of aquaculture in the Bahamas, as well as the new potential of untapped and underutilized marine resources.
